First of all thank you Sabri for bringing me out to the UK and the Guezaiel family for housing me. Providing me with a home cooking every night was a treat. You couldn’t beat the chicken or fish with veggies and delicious sauce on top. While I was in Derby, England, Sab (Sabri) and I promoted at different Jon Jepson Black Belt Academies (JJBBA) during the evening, rounding up students for the 2 seminars I would be hosting. To give the students a taste of what the seminars would be like I taught a few moves during some of the JJBBA classes. After every class I would through a few tricks hyping up the students for the seminar.  The 2 seminars were success in multiple ways. There was a huge turnout, everyone learned something new, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

 

Many mornings were spent visiting the local schools to give speeches to the elementary school kids about respect and goal setting. Every speech was followed by an open form performance by me. The kids would make fun of my hand combinations at first but by the end of the form their jaws dropped to the floor.

 

During the day Ryan, Ryan Phillips,  Sab, and myself went to the town center handing out JJBBA leaflets to pedestrians while doing a little street tricking. Together we were featured on the Derby local radio station Ram 102.8 f.m. and the local derby newspaper the Telegraph.

 

For Wednesdays the four of us ate at this fancy Chinese restaurant. The first time we went The food and service according to Ryan Phillips was the “best Chinese in the world.” I thought It was good but not the best. The second time the waitress and Sab were getting into an argument over mistakes made in the order for the appetizers.

 

At night it was off to the Blue Bamboo, the local club. I did some flips and tricks performing alongside England’s top break dancing crew, the Trinity Warriors.

 

On my last day I visted London. Going underground with the trains was my mode of transportation. There were so many stores with so many things I wanted to buy. However I only got an Adidas track jacket for myself and souvenirs for my family.  At night I saw the Buckingham palace. The flag was raised signifying that the queen was present.
